I am a Freshman Out-of-state Student at the University of Houston. The reason I choose the University of Houston was because I wanted to attend a school away from home, but a school that I could CALL HOME. After researching several schools, with only an ACT of 21 (most Divsion 1 schools look for an ACT of 22), writing a letter to the school as to why I should be in their busines program, I then was accepted into the University of Houston. I was not comfortable enough with being accepted, I HAD to visit the school before making my final decision. After visiting University of Houston during their Student Orientation and seeing the enviroment of the school, I realized that this was the school for me. Everyone seemed to be very knowledgable and helpful. Positives: Environment, Appearance, SafetyNegatives: Cost(Out-of-state students pay roughly $20,000/yr - Tuition, fees, room/board, books, etc)I now live in the Moody Towers on campus and I enjoy taking advantage of all the University has to offer.
