SCAD has a lot of crazy stories about it going around that are pretty far-fetched. The city isn't great, but you shouldn't choose a school based on where it is, but what you will get out of it. SCAD isn't the best school ever and it has its problems, just like any other school, but it's enjoyable and I have definitely learned a fair amount so far. The anti-SCAD propaganda I've seen online is pretty crazy, though. If something sounds way too nuts to believe, it probably isn't true.
