Well, honey your lucky. Not all college students can play guitar kick back and have 9 hour asleep nights. Seems like Yale is for preps, go to a college that really challenges you, has nothing but academics, and if your lucky you get just 4-hour a night sleep. Then you can say that your in college…go c.s.u.f.! |
Major: Neuroscience/Cognitive Science (This Major's Salary over time)
With Yale's high reputation, it's easy to pick it apart and find negative things to say about it. However, I love Yale and I made the best decision of my life to go there. I am a science-oriented student and despite Yale's reputation for the humanities, the scientific research opportunities here are amazing. I feel like an individual here and that I'm destined for great things. Outside of just Yale's name, the professors and laboratories here have really helped me along; for example, I'm finding out in a month if my publication will be accepted to a conference, and I'm still a junior. In terms of student life, I feel students here are very friendly and open. It's easy to get stuck into the same group of friends, but there are always things going on and ways to meet new people. The extracurriculars here can sometimes fall apart because they're run by students - but if you have motivation, you can do something great. And, partier or not, there are always things to do on the weekends: shows, movies, tons of restaurants, concerts, festivals, dances, go to NY, etc. If you get into Yale, go here! I can't emphasize how much I love this place. I feel like I learn so much without being stressed at all - you'll always find me playing Guitar Hero and sleeping 9-hour nights. :-)
