I absolutely loved Pitt and I can't imagine going any where else. It's true Pitt doesn't have a huge party scene, but that's not what prospective students should be looking at as a determining factor. The campus is big, but not large enough that students feel like a number. I have only had a few problems with some of my professors. Most of them have been approachable and willing to help. College is what you make of it, no matter where you go. If you sit back and expect people to jump out of their seat to help you, it won't happen. If you need help, you have to ask for it. I've never had a Pitt professor turn me down for a one-on-one session. Pitt is also in the midst of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, which was great for me because I'm in the mental health field. Although, it's the source of a lot of traffic on campus. There are many opportunities for internships, and I took several of them. I loved one of my internships so much that I'm now an employee! The campus is beautiful too. It's very close to Pittsburgh; just a bus ride away. But, Oakland is like it's own micro city. Plus, there are some GREAT restuarant right on campus, and a ton of museums. The football team may not be the best, but we're getting better. And Pitt basketball is always exciting. I could go on, but I won't. If your considering Pitt… it's definitely worth a visit.
