I am a freshman vocal studies major and want to become a BM of composition. (IDK i want to major in writing music). I can't stand being a vocal studies but BM vocal performance does not sound appealing to me (for example 5 yrs for me, competitive, stressful) So I will definitely change my major, if i decide to stay here. I am wondering what your major was and how your experience was in that department (or the other music departments) or what you have heard. thank you for your time and in reading my response |
Major: Music - Composition/Theory (This Major's Salary over time)
Big School, so find your niche or else you'll get swallowed by the sheer size of the place. The people make the school. UA is beautiful, but Tucson is not. Stick to living on or near campus and you'll be set. The student union is very nice. Winter is amazing in Tucson. Hang out by the pool right before spring break. Trust me.
