I don't understand why there are reviewers emphasizing Miami students as stuck up rich white drunkards. This stereotype is for the most part unfounded. True, there are some students around who flaunt their money and party hard, but this is only a small part of the population. It is easy to find club organizations or friends who are down to earth. If education is a priority, you can get involved in research with faculty members and get top-notch experience. When you feel like relaxing, uptown is the place to go.Overall, my experience here was good. But really it is up to you to make the most of it. You can't blame the university if you drink too much or study too hard. Both opportunities are there, but you have to make the choice of what to do.
