Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
My first two years I was an engineering major. The culture was competitive and challenging, but I could see that life in front of a computer screen was not what I wanted. However, my parents are engineers and they really pressed me all my life to be an engineer and State has very high ranking for the quality of its engineering program, but I could see that I wasnt going to be happy. I want to save the world and I dont see engineering helping. One of my dorm friends is a forestry major. He had lots of good stories about what was going on, on the other side of the tracks (ugly railroad tracks split the campus into north and south). After a lot of thought I transferred into forestry. I cannot believe all the opportunities that forestry offers. It is like an hidden oasis in the middle of the desert that only the lucky find.
