Yeah so word is true that UH isnt the "night life" party school of the state, but most things take place OFF campus. Yes theres the parties and stuff in the dorms and whatnot, but most of the fun takes place in the clubs, bars, and other places off campus by UH. Its an awesome environment and I felt I assimilated right in right away, and met loads of friends. The faculty does care about you, if you show you care and what to pass. I learned to become my own individual just by associating with others and finding myself, as well as adjust to a very large campus and become extra competitive. The academic programs are challenging and tough, but they're great programs never the less. Theres always ways to get help when needed, from tutoring to TAs to peers. Besides the lack of social life on campus at night, its an amazing place to be and would love to continue the rest of my education at UH.
