Financial aid department is a nightmare. After an hour and a half of waiting to talk to an advisor they will rush you through in two minutes and usually either don't know how to answer your questions or, my favorite, lie to you outright. Once I had to wait more than three weeks for them to disburse my financial aid, came back every week. They just kept telling me "come back next week! It will be done then". If it was going to be done, why was it they wanted me to come back? I hate this school. I wish I had gone somewhere else. It is no wonder no one donates to the university after graduation. Also, parking is inadequate. They charge you to park so that they can pay the jerks ridding around giving tickets. Its totally pointless. They have plenty of parking for staff close to the school. They are usually two thirds empty but if you park there BAM! ticket! Don't go to UH. The bureaucracy has gotten out of control. Everything is overly complicated and no one working there gives a flying f****.

I know exactly what you mean. They will outright lie to you or pretend they know when they have no idea what to do, then you get transfered from department to department without anyone being able to help you out. It's not just the finanacial aid department, it's every department, but especially the financial aid department. It's as if they want to keep your money, at least they should earn it by actually doing the job they're paid to do. Assume things will go wrong with whatever it is you're doing if it has to go through the university and be prepared to jump through hoops in order to resolve the situation. I don't blame you for being angry..I wouldn't recommend this university to anyone either.

I actually gave a pretty good review of the school. But i can concur with everything this review is stating. The administration of the school is horrible. My advice is not to depend on anyone else and read the catalog forward and backwards. I've usually been able to correct the all too common mistakes of administrators and staff. What do you expect in a sea of 30,000 students? Why should anyone else care about you if you can't care for yourself? Just stay on top of your own stuff and you will be fine.
