Get involved in something in your first month of your first semester—September. We have a huge welcome back week where clubs and other students are out promoting different things on campus. Whether you join your residence hall "Hall Council", a club, a sport, get an on campus job, or any other extra curricular activity on campus, it will get you out meeting people and help with your transition into college. If I went back in time and told me what I would be doing in college, I would not believe "me". I have been able to do so much, meet great friends, administrators, and faculty members.
