Great indepth writeup.. How difficult was it to find a professional position after you graduated? What were you able to do career-wise after graduating? |
Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I love U of A. I wish that the Business Management were more flexible on the required courses so it included more MIS, MKTG, and ACCT courses. The Eller College of Management is awesome, it sucks trying to get into and you seem treated not very well. Avoid Blanchard's class, I'm a good student but I though his method of teaching was too hard and not applicable to the real world (ACCT 210). Once you get in though, the faculty go out of their way to help you and there are TONS of self-improvement resources. The campus is gorgeous, there are tons of places to go around town. I like how everything down here is cheaper than where I came from. Great places to eat, TONS of bars within walking distance. I have a Communication minor… I would recommend avoiding the COMM department unless you're REALLY interested in the classes. Also, take math courses at Pima Community College, the math department is awful. Students are mostly helpful, there are plenty of California and Phoenix d-bags, but most of my friends are from Cali and are really nice. The instruction and academic advising improves ten-fold once you get into the upper division classes. Honors classes are AWESOME, small sizes and usually easier because it's more engaging. Even with out of state tuition, I wouldn't have gone anywhere else. Great experience.
