Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
I don't understand the horrible rankings MTSU has received. No, it isn't all new and pretty, and it is a HUGE school, but it is the best bang for your buck in the state. Great variety of majors(including rarities like aerospace, recording, astronomy, concrete management), tons of extracurricular activities, great research/internship/job placement programs, and there are plenty of fun things to do. It is incredibly diverse and anyone who looks will find a niche, a group of friends to hang out and study with. You will work hard here, but you will play hard too! That said, I admit this university is not for everyone. If you want a small, quiet liberal arts type school, with pretty buildings and professors that hold you by the hand, you will hate it here. But if you are a driven, goal oriented type, the opportunities here are endless. If you make the effort to go and seek help from faculty, they will be available, knowledgeable, and more than willing to help you out.
