Some majors are better organized than others, but I'd say the school is always working to get a better experience for it's students. The networking alone is almost enough to attend. They have connections with a lot big names and the visiting companies and artist are a big plus. The biggest complaint maybe the structure of courses. Having three semesters with 3 classes a semester is a large amount of work that often feels rushed. The school leans on the idea that getting a job is of course the highest priority, but at the expense of really being able to hone your skill while attending. I know many people who feel that they will have to take a year or two after graduation just to finally collect everything they learned to produce quality work (while a majority of their work done at school was just rushed through to meet requirements and deadlines on time).

Most teachers have real world experience and are willing to provide personalized help with your portfolio, though there are many classes you'll wonder if you're only wasting time when you could be concentrating on your passion. Some teachers can be bias and are extremely questionable as for their teaching credentials, but I suppose every school has to have a couple of those.

As far as the location, Savannah is a beautiful city, but crime is a big problem, especially for the careless out-of-towner. Bars and historic tourist attractions are the biggest social draws of the area.
