Major: Neuroscience/Cognitive Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I had not heard of the University of Rochester prior to researching colleges my Junior year of high school, however, I didn't rule it out as a possibility. Even at that point I thought I would do cognitive science, so I figured doing the major here would be a good opportunity. It's not a bad school, per se—but in hindsight, I wish I had gone to a public school. My state school happens to be an excellent quality institution, and I could have gotten better facilities, a better quality education, and more opportunities for much less money. Rochester isn't too bad, but my state school is great quality, and a much better deal, all things considered. I recommend students take advantage of that (assuming they also have a quality state school available to them).
