I had a good experience in my 4 years at PCC. I do not agree with all of the rules or how the church was run, but administration aside I loved my school. I think for me the thing that made it most manageable was the teachers. The faculty members were so helpful to me on a personal and professional level. They took time to invest in me and it helped me grow as a person and a student. I can say that I want to teach others because of how my teachers influenced my life.

On another note, the administration as a whole is too close-minded. I understand why they take the stand they do on spiritual and social matters, but I do not agree with them treating students like children instead of the adults we are. There are a few individuals within the administration though that did actually take the time to invest in me. I should have been kicked out several times… instead of giving me the boot though the student life directer helped me face my biggest failure as a person and overcome it. I had to go to weekly counselling sessions, which I could have been bitter about, but I took them as a oportunity to change my behavior. I grew so much in those weekly meetings. I could talk with this advisor without fear of who would find out and how they would judge me. She listened to me and helped me work through my issues like no one had ever done before. That showed me once and for all that it was well worth the overbearing rules and somewhat closed-minded atmosphere of the administration. I am a better person today because of PCC.
