I had a good time at scad during my first quarter. There are opportunities to succeed in each class, or to at least improve. I would say to not take the negative comments all for face value, because many of them are by people who didnt do well during their first quarter and want to spew negative comments about the school due to their own failure. (look at the comment below me). First year student who posted a comment 3 days before the end of first quarter. In my first quarter I met many knowledgeable, skilled, and intelligent students. Will there always be those people who dont care and just want to party? yes. In my first quarter there were also people who I felt didnt belong in an art school, not because they didnt have the skill but because they didnt take their work seriously. There were some students who came to class late almost everyday, one student in my drawing class must have missed half of the quarter. Scad has an attendance policy for a reason, so you get your money's worth. I see the scholarship policy as a motivator, I know I personally would not be able to go to scad without it. Now while some of the negative comments are legitimate make sure they aren't made by freshman who dropped out after quarter 1.
