Major: Journalism (This Major's Salary over time)
As a journalism student, I can say that you get out of your experience what you put into it. It is really important to take classes with publishing and hands-on experience built-in, such as the magazine classes. Take advantage of how many opportunities there are to get involved in the community through the Alligator and other publications. If you don't, you will be surpassed by all the other super goal-oriented students. Some of the required Gen Ed classes like the maths and sciences can be frustrating, but get them out of the way early on and you get a lot of control over the rest of your curriculum.
