Major: Unknown (This Major's Salary over time)
I have done extensive research for one of the organizations on campus and have found very unsettling results. The school increases its fee's drastically each year, and significantly reduces teaching support and student services. Available parking is often more then a mile away from campus, and parking enforcement and police corruption are rampant. Administration is one of the highest paid comparatively in the nation and the police force which does little to provide additional safety on campus is paid on average $100,000 a year with the police chief taking a $250,000+ salary. Additionally, several high profiles murders have occurred in the center of campus and within 100 feet of the police station of campus. The administration on campus is becoming extremely corrupt and investigations are finally taking root in trying to change this. Furthermore, students are given little concern and often ignored by university. The school has carries some of the worst rated professors in the nation, creating an extremely unbalanced experience. In my experience for example, I was given no advisor for over an year which resulted in me being forced to take additional credits to make up assignments. If you choose to go to UConn be conscious of meeting all requirements and do not trust that the university will do ANYTHING on your behalf. I would highly advise not to attend the university unless its the only school that would work for you financially.
