The People that are complaining are ones that will likely be miserable no matter where they go to school. If going to a big school is not for you then fine. Uconn is big but some people want that. Thats what makes sporting events and school spirit at Uconn. The surrounding area might not be great but get involved and find out about the little bars and restaurants in the surrounding towns that add to the nostalgia of the area. There are so many different types of people at this school that its hard to complain or say only such and such type of kids go here. The choice is yours for how ur experience will be. This school might not be for everybody but if u want a school that has a great reputation, great athletics, a diverse student body, great academics for not too expensive of a price, i highly recommend checking out Uconn.
