My experience at GSU has been mixed. As a female student, campus is definitely not a very great place. Security has been getting a little lazy recently, as there have been numerous theft and robberies reported on campus. Homeless people are spread thoghought, but usually you can avoid them. They aren't dangerous, they will just ask you for money and try to talk to you.The school is very laid back for the money you pay. It doesn't have a university feeling. most students commute or are older people who are coming back to school to find a new career. It doesn't really feel like a research university. Many local high schools do dual enrollment with GSU. Many more students from neighboring schools(or just drop outs) loiter around campus especially during peak "plaza" time.
