Crime rate is very high, which shouldn't come as a surprise, given UH's location within the Third Ward (ranked the 13th most violent district in the United States). aesthetics are the other major disappointment with regards to the university. Most students are not very open-minded, and you only get to know/see most people for a semester. Quality of professors is hit or miss, usually (about 3/5 of the time) hits. Flexible program and easy to work the system. Not bad at all, but there are much better options.
