Coming from the midwest I can say that the University of Arizona was an entirely different experience from what I expected.Let's start with the student body. While you can find some very friendly people at UA, the vast majority of students here couldn't give a rat's ass about their academics. Life at UA is centered around the next party, and trying to look better than everybody else. Cali Bros and Hoes for the most part.Student resources - the thinktank is a sham. You're really on your own when it comes to studying. Although people are paid to help the students, they still feel like it's really not their job to do anything.Classes - Over sized, 1200 person lecture hall…that isn't an exaggeration. In my first semester I only had one class under 50 students. Professors vary, some are great, some are arrogant, and some really don't care.Overall, I wish I had never even considered this school. The sunshine is great and the mountains are beautiful. However if you don't have a car, then the outdoor scene is nonexistent. Don't be fooled by the weather, it's great but if that's your only reason for coming here, then you're in for a rough transfer.
