I do not regret my choice of attending PCC. However, anyone who is going to attend there needs to go with their eyes wide open, as I did. I did not base my choice of a college on the rules that they had, as much as on the quality of education in the field I was looking for, as well as affordability.

It is important to realize that PCC is not accredited. This was a choice I made before attending, as I was planning to teach in a private school. I was so prepared for my teaching job, but I will note that the school I teach at uses A Beka Book, so I have not had the opportunity to see if my education would be equally as helpful if I were teaching a different curriculum. I have decided to pursue graduate school, and I am choosing to get my master's degree from an accredited institution. This has been a bit of a challenge. I have been accepted at another Christian liberal arts college that is accredited. The Christian colleges were more accepting of my degree—but unfortunately a little more pricey than some of my options would have been—had my degree been accredited.

As for the rules—unfortunately they come from the perspective that the students are going to mess up—instead of from a perspective that students are Christians who can be trusted. This is, I believe, due to the admissions process—most people are easily accepted. Many, many students are there who have no desire to be there. Their negative attitude spreads, and then the school wonders why they have so many people breaking the rules.

I knew it was the college where God wanted me to go—and my opinion on the rules was that college is just a few miles on the road of life. With a good attitude the rules are not a big deal. I am now living according to my personal convictions. I do appreciate how complying with the college's rules has helped me learn to comply with the rules of various employers. Attending PCC also helped me develop a strong work ethic.

I would attend again—if I knew it was God's will. PCC is not a place to attend if you do not know it is where God wants you—you will be miserable if you do.

One last note—I loved my teachers—and they are, for the most part, very caring and helpful!
