I
have to admit, I went to the University of Florida
because I believed it offers the best education in Florida.
And it does, but Florida is really not the best
place to come to school. I entered into the Advertising
program, and it has been a total waste of my
parents money. After graduation salaries that I were offered were
really quite poor, and after more consideration I changed careers
later down the line. Gainesville is quite a boring town.
Unless you like to get drunk a lot then there's
not that much to do. A lot of people tend
to be in Frats/Sororities, and those people usually tend to
be quite prickish. I did find it difficult to get
to know people here, in-fact the only thing I did
for fun at Gville was play soccer 5 times a
week. Be prepared for absolutely massive classes for things like
General Psych, Precalc/Trig. If you really have to go to
school in Florida, then I guess go to UF, but
if you can, go out of state.
