I am really considering the online BA program in Sequential Arts. But judging from your rating it seems it would be a waste. Do you really find like it helped you become a better artist or am I better off just getting How to Draw books? Thanks |
Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
I'm a current online transfer student, completing a BA in Sequential Art. I had high expectations of SCAD but in general they have not been met. The faculty doesn't care much about online classes and there is little participation from them or the other students. If you take online classes at SCAD just realize you are on your own, and it is more like a computer course without interaction from other human beings. The faculty are there just to grade your work, nothing more. I was also disappointed in the quality of the other students. Some of the students could barely spell or draw. Hardly the atmosphere to be challenged to do your best.
