65 administratives in the University of Illinois eachAerospace Engineering
65 administratives in the University of Illinois each make $200,000 to more than $450,000 annually launched a salary freeze in the university for administrators, faculty and other academic professionals without considering how much a person earns in a year, or whether the salary is from university or some outside funding or grants. Since they make big sum of money in a year, the freezing doesn't hurt them at all. I am wondering how such persons should be elected to so high positions.

Those 65 individuals earn an average of $241,067 ? and cost Purdue more than $15 million annually, or 2.5 percent of the salary budget for the University's 15,474 employees.

I say to them: "Men, stop equalization when doing bad, and stop discrimination or classification when making profits!" It is God XXXXXX!

Question
The college of engineering at UIUC prepared meAerospace Engineering
The college of engineering at UIUC prepared me well for the job I am currently in. I have heard differently from friends of mine who graduated in similar programs. But fo me, I am doing fantastically in life. I was able to get the job I dreamed of having (currently helping design NASA's Orion Project, a lunar transportation system), at about the same salary I've heard from friends in engineering jobs they hate having (and at a much higher salary than friends who went into fields of education and low-level busienss).

The fact that I was from UIUC meant little to the people who hired me. They seemed to feel that it was a notable school, and deserving of the respect given to any high-end engineering school, but beyond that, they didn't give much attention to where I was coming from, more so just that I had a degree from a decent school. What really got me the job was from having made many friends at UIUC. A classmate got me an interview with Lockheed Martin, through which I was able to present my case, and the coursework I had done, and was given a job that I am very much enjoying. I never would have ended up here if I hadn't made friends with that particular student; and I'm sure that many other of my classmates, or possibly faculty, would have been able to do similar for me in another year or two (once they're settled). So, in the end, I still have U of I to thank for helping me get my job. It is, in my opinion, a top notch education; but the fact that there are so many thousands of students attending puts it leaps and bounds above many other universities, just because of the social network you can develop.

Question
I think that the college of engineering atQuite BrightAerospace Engineering
I think that the college of engineering at UIUC is terrific. While there are many professors who are more concerned with their research work than with making sure students understand course materials, they are all very bright people, and can be learned from. The engineering college campus is beautifully laid out, well maintained, and stocked with the latest computers, technology, and software versions all available for student use in several labs.

The University as a whole is very nice as well, a good looking campus with a huge variety of course options. The population may seem daunting at times, in the tens of thousands, but the atmosphere is very conductive to socializing, and after spending a short amount of time, the campus seems to shrink as you see familiar faces and get to know the hot spots of the towns.

There is not much to be said for Champaign and Urbana outside of campus. They are cities enough in their own right, but nothing too extrodinary. Most students live in dormitories and apartments in and imidiately surrounding "Campustown". The overall best part of this university is it's education-per-cost index. A very cheap school by modern standards, this school provides not only curriculums not to be found many other places (my degree was Aerospace Engineering, for instance), but a respected name on the degree. University of Illinois is known nation-wide as a very decent school, and this helps tremendously in the post-graduation job hunt.
