The University of Mary Washington

If you are thinking of going here be warned: this is definitely a suitcase college. Walking to brunch at 1 pm on a Saturday you may see 15 people, if you're lucky. My freshman year the dorms cleared out on the weekends, there were many times when there were only one or two girls left on my hall. I got involved and joined several organizations. Even here I found that people stayed in their cliques and, in general, did not make an effort to even acknowledge new members. Yes the education is great and I have made many good friends, but this is not enough to keep me here. Fredericksburg is incredibly boring and downtown is nothing but antique shops and restaurants. There is a miniscule party scene limited to athletes. I plan to transfer at the end of this year.
