I am so glad I chose this school! I turned down several other in-state Virginia publics: UVA, William and Mary and I am thankful that I made this choice. The campus, students, and faculty are fantastic. For a large public university, the school has a sense of community like no other. You will be a Hokie for Life if you come here and will get a tremendous education if you work for it. When people talk of being able to go to a place to get the "total college experience" they are describing Virginia Tech.

“Unless you like gettingArchitecture
Unless you like getting drunk, going to a small town like Blacksburg can prove to be an increably boring experience. The sport facilities were large and well equipped but you can't study architecture for 5 years in a dull and isolated enviroment.

Virginia Tech is a great university. The campus is beautiful and perfectly spaced out... everything is not cramed together but spaced out just enough to be able to walk anywere on campus. Down town is great... there is always something to do and it is in walking distance from campus. I am currently in my second year and all of my teachers have been great and fair in grading. All of my graduating friends already have jobs lined up for after graduation. Tech definently opens many windows of opertunity. I would never want to attend a different university... It is great to be a Hokie! On a final note... the football is great!!!
