Duke was the perfect school for me. Work hard, play hard atmosphere. We can party, and study too. It isn't overly intellectual (which I like). As mentioned before, there is definitely a racial divide. However, I think most people find a place for them within the social spectrum. When I was applying to colleges, I really wanted a school with a traditional campus feel, where most things take place on campus. From Freshman year onwards, the social scene moved progressively off-campus. This is probably my biggest complaint. By senior year you could hear a pin drop on a Friday night on main west campus… which definitely was not how it was my freshman year.
