Date: Mar 23 2007 Major: Criminal (This Major's Salary over time) I find it amusing that the college is trying to skew the numbers by sending out a mass mailing and having us come here. I would not have written this review on my own, but since you asked for my opinion, I'll share it with you.First and foremost, the accreditation is a big deal. They will poo poo it during college days, but the fact is I was turned down by the graduate school I wanted to go to.Second, you will be labeled by your answers on your application. If you used tobbacco, drank in high school, etc., you will more than likely be placed in a room with a floorleader so you can be more closely watched (as if that were possible.)Third, I am eternally greatful for the friends I made there, but many of them were kicked out. Don't plan on saying goodbye to them because they will be shadowed (stuck side by side with a floor leader) and you won't be able to talk to them. The only job placement/recruiting you will get from the school is for Christian service. That's not necessarily a bad thing unless your in Engineering or something like that. I had my floor leader call me up out of the blue a couple years back apologizing to me for the way he treated me and how hypocrytical the college had made him. You are encouraged to tell on people for doing things wrong. Forget the whole biblical process of how to treat a brother that offends. There are some honest to goodness God and student loving faculty there. There are more staff who think you are a child and appear to be waiting to come down on you. I'd love to give more details, but even now I know they will do what they can to identify some of the people who write negative comments on this site.I could go on forever about the negatives, but I believe it was God's will for my life to attend there. I liked it about as much as it was God's will for Jonah to go to Ninevah. I am not bitter towards the school. I let go of that long ago. That is why I say I wouldn't have written this unless they asked. The only reason you should attend this school is if you know it is God's will. It also helpful if you are going into Christian work in a fundamentalist Church or Christian School. The nursing program is also top notch (and I believe it is accredited). If you are casually thinking of attending the college, get a copy of the student handbook first. Then, realize anything you do that the staff doesn't like will result in 10 demerits for "improper procedure" whether it is in the rules or not. Also I was completely turned off by the KJV only fight several years back.Again if it's God's will for you to attend this college, the rules and all really don't matter. Grin and bear it. I learned as much how not to be a Christian as I did how to be one. Keep your free thought, but hide it. Don't let them get under your skin. If you screw up, confess it to God and no one else or risk being told on. If a group of students get caught doing something, be the first one to spill your guts, they normally have mercy on that one. They will try to control every aspect of your life. Let them think they are, but you base your decisions on biblical principles, not rules. It isn't God's intentions for our lives to be a bunch of rules. I assure you that you will grow in your personal relationship with God, one way or another. I have no regrets for attending because my life has turned out well and I wouldn't want to change anything in my life. I do wish the staff at PCC would see this as a wake up call and realize PCC isn't heaven on earth. The Pharisees thought what they were doing was good as well…
