Major: Criminal (This Major's Salary over time)
This is a good place to go for several reasons. In fact, I probably won't do justice in this rating. Financially, it really is an excellent value for the money, and for those like myself who didn't have a lot of money, there is opportunity to graduate debt-free through a work assistance program. Culturally, it is an excellent choice because you are exposed to many dramatic productions, operas, instrumentals, and guest speakers who challenge your mind. Much of this is required, which might seem like a burden sometimes to those like me who had never given much thought to such things, but it is worth it. My instructors were amazing. All of them were seasoned veterans of the field they were teaching, not people who had spent their entire criminal justice career writing a thesis. They did not just give me theories, but sctual situations they had experienced and shared how the situation had been handled, what was done right, and what could have been done better. The instruction I received added to the self-discipline I learned by being a residence hall student definitely prepared me to enter my field. If I could offer one piece of advice to those considering attending PCC . . . READ THE HANDBOOK. This is a strict institution, and you will be expected to follow the rules. The only grade lower than "A" I gave above is for how safe you feel on campus. The campus security is unarmed. There are cameras EVERYWHERE, but considering the number of transients and the famous people, i.e. Ted Bundy, who make/have made this city home, it would be a good idea to at least have the security guards certified in the use of O.C.
