I transferred here from another school, and let me tell you, UW-Madison is amazing.  It offers anything you could ever want, and then some.  Not only that, but I know when I graduate my degree will carry a lot of weight due to how well known and well respected the University is throughout the nation.  If you're an in-state student, there really isn't any better choice, and even for out-of-state students tuition is a bargain compared to private schools and even other state schools.  The school really has everything you could ask for, stellar academics, an amazing party atmosphere, and the opportunity to meet lifelong friends.  Being here has really made me happy, so take all these things into consideration, and On Wisconsin!
