OMG…This school! Has not been up to par with almost everything. I transfered from NYIT premed program to Hofstra's premed program. Out of all the classes I went through already, maybe one or two professors have been nice. My advisor sucks, Chem professors suck, etc. For example, in Chemistry, Professors EXPECT you to master this as one of them, or you will not get a good grade. Hofstra's TRYING to become an Ivy League school because of there new Med School opening. So, premed is hard as it is already, Hofstra try's to make it even harder in there premed program. My Anatomy lecture is a joke. Goes 100 mph, and tests are beyond hard. My Anatomy Lab is even a bigger joke, and we learn everything on our own studying time. Tests are very hard, and only a few test through the whole course. So, tests are SEVERAL chapters within one test. First test…EVERY bone in body, EVERY Histology slide, etc, on one test WITHOUT even a word bank? You kidding me? My GPA was a 3.95 before Hofstra, and I had a VERY tough time on these tests. As EVERYBODY did.
