The University of Wisconsin - Madison

I am infuriated by most of the comments that I read on here. I am from a very small town in South western Wisconsin. I graduated with 23 people. I absolutely love it here and could not have dreamed of a better college experience. Many of the comments on here say that we are terrible students, snobby, drunk, and stupid. There are many who drink a lot, but there are also a lot of people who don't. I have met many, many people here who are unbelievably smart. The coursework is very challenging. And for anyone who thinks that it isn't, I dare you to switch to a hard major. Also, to the political science major who whined about easy classes: OBVIOUSLY your classes are easy! Poli Sci is probably the easiest major at UW!! As for the snobby part, well, our beautiful campus does unfortunately have a slight problem with Coasties. If the people who were complaining about the snobby campus are from a coast, then yes I can see why you would think this. We don't particularly care for people who walk around with a stick up their butt. If you are kind, fun, and smart, you will LOVE this campus. If you like independence and working hard, you will LOVE this campus. If you want somebody who will hold your hand and spoon feed you everything (AKA high school), good luck with life.
