All in all, Uconn is a good school. It does well in public rankings for a reason, but I firmly believe it's rating is over hyped. If you really want to try your best in college, studying for personal benefit and not some piece of paper that certifies you to do things, then go somewhere else. I'm working on transferring right now. My primary reasons are: the school is just not challenging enough; and the bias: I am sick of Connecticut. If you are from out of state, have average grades and expectations, come here. You'll be surprised how well you can do at a fairly well regarded school. I hope this helps.Also, be wary of the website. It is an abomination to the internet and should be burned as a witch.
