UW Madison is a great college overall.  There are a few minor problems however.  A biology major from Madison is very esteemed and I now understand why.  The courses pursuing this major are very difficult and require a high level of comprehension.  I can attest to being pushed mentally harder by these classes.  Sometimes the professors and the advisers poorly help you.  In addition, I was raped my fourth year attending this college.  The education is good but the way they treat minorities is hideous.  I was walking to my dorm when I was pelted with rice throughout the hallway.  Somehow, I was the only Asian on the second floor of Chadbourne.  Going to parties in Madison is also very dangerous.  I was found lying in a ditch one morning with chopsticks in my anal cavity and roofies in my system.  I had reason to believe I was raped for the third time my seventh year attending the university.  I am very content with the university and the quality of their education.  However, I am very troubled by the fact that Asian-Americans have a high risk of being found in a parking lot dumpster, passed out, raped, and almost choking on sushi forcibly shoved down their throats.

responseHow is this not reported to campus police or the local authorities. I do not like racist people, and to hear you endure all this while still give credit to the school is horrific.

commentThis is incredibly disturbing. If you reported these incidents, was the school helpful in assisting you and providing you appropriate resources? I'm really sorry about your experiences, and a little surprised that you continued attending the school if the community was so antagonistic towards you.
