Basic Tenets of My Understanding of College

1. No matter where you go, there will be rules.

2. No matter where you go, there will be: jerks, dorks, and perturbing people.

3. No matter what you think, you choose where to go or not to go, it is just a matter of cost(financial or otherwise).

People who write comments about any school are usually the extremists. They are either mostly negative or mostly positive. In each case, they will depict only one side of the school. Attempting to mimic a Fox News stand on information, I will attempt a more balanced opinion from one who himself, was extremely critical of the school, once upon a time.

Clint Eastwood is my dad's favorite actor. I am reminded of one of his movies right now. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, I think its an Eastwood movie. Anyway, let me invert that and personalize it. PCC:

The Ugly: Some members of the student body and faculty (Where is this not true?). Some of the rules (They pretty ridiculous, but behind each rule there are probably ten to fifteen people who necessitated its birthing). Socialling (Yeah, there's not much you can do with that except to say that it does promote chastity. Yet, there are instances where not to touch is almost faux pa, i.e. a fainting girl)

The Bad: Distribution of low-level authority to undeserving students(not all floor-leaders are ideal, this can promote anger to indiviuals and administration, I know). Morning room job/Lights out(You can understand a clean room, but we are college-age, we will take care of it if it gets bad enough. I don't need to go to bed at eleven to function each day, but it does not hurt either). Dumb rules in general(sometimes pet peeves turn into ordeals, mostly through a combination of goofy rule+energetic floor-leader)

The Good: Environment(Little to no fear of molestation, rape, drugs, violence, or theft). Amiable nature(there are all kinds of students, anyone can make friends, I have seen some weirdos with a crew, you can find people to do stuff with easily). Price(You knew it was coming, it is a relatively low-cost education). Caliber(Get real, if you think the school is sub-par you have not gone. They strive for excellence. I have not been in the higher level math or science classes, but acquaintences say they are extremely strong there in, addition to Music, Bible, and Art that I know of.)

This is not the place for every one. If you cannot abide by standards you may not personalize, you will hate it. If you can grow up a little, learn to be trained, it will prepare you mentally and emotionally for after college. Take this for what it is worth which might not be much, oh well.
