UofA is a great school, however the gened classes are extremely easy. Another problem with this University is that there are some very easy majors (Like political science, Business, MIS) and the students of these aforementioned majors do not care about education. It can be easy to pick up that attitude and that will hurt your GPA. Computer Science is a great major at UA that is highly underrated and difficult(Good thing?). Once in Comp Sci, you will learn how computers/programming languages work and not just the syntax of the latest tech buzz-word. The teachers are friendly but they expect you to do work on your own. UA also has many other great and highly ranked programs which I do not have time to mention. A recommendation to all HighSchool seniors: if you live in Arizona and consider yourself intelligent you will be wasting your talents at such sub-par schools as ASU and NAU. Although UA isn't the greatest school it is by far the best in the state and the highest ranked.

The student body isAverageBusiness - Management and Administration
The student body is diverse. The weather is really hot, but some people would like that. It is a good university but I beleive that the students can be more involved.

Question
My overall experience of the U of ASuper BrilliantEnglish
My overall experience of the U of A was good. The class are large so the teachers never asked for alot of homework or papers. If your goal is to keep a high GPA for grad school this is the place to go. The general eeducation program was a joke, if you GO TO CLASS you should be able to get atleast a B. The programs do get harder as you get more into your specific major. Ifound the English program very rewarding

One of the major draw backs is the fact that you have to live in Tucson. Their is absolutly nothing to do ever. The social scene is virtually nonexistant and dominated by a frat scene that only worsens the academics reputaion of the school.

Why did I like it? It was easy and it put me in a position to transfer to UCLA, if I would have stayed my GPA would have gotten me into a great grad school. I am from Tucson which limited my choices to ASU and U of A. The choice was easy. My girl friend attended ASU and it was terrible. While the school had an awesome social scene the school itself sucked. The dormrooms were the worst ever. They put all the Freshmen in one dorm that was 11 stories with elevators that were only working for the first week. Besides that an ASU diploma is worth about as much as toilet paper, the classes at a junior high level. IF YOU NEED TO CHOOSE BETWEEN ASU AND U of A, FOR YOUR OWN GOOD GO TO THE UOFA.
