College builds character and in order to surviveBiology
College builds character and in order to survive a Physiology and Anatomy major at Berkeley demonstrates intelligence, perserverance, dedication and problem solving. I was very much disappointed by UC Berkeley's total lack of personal attention by both professors, advisors and TA's. We were just numbers and were absolutely no help with career placement. I will not give them any money at all.

Question
I found Cal to be quite a toughBiology
I found Cal to be quite a tough school, but not more so than expected. If you are a California resident, surely you will expect Berkeley to be academically rigorous. However, when I really put the work in, I always got good results. As in doing all of the required reading, suggested and required homework, attending all lectures and taking good notes to study off of, making study buddies in classes -- these things will get you the top grades, no matter what your major is.If you really want to do something tough like go to medical school afterwards, try checking out a private school. There you will probably find a more nurturing environment and more conducive to getting high grades.

Question
Cal is the greatest school in California.BrightBiology
Cal is the greatest school in California. Bad things are the public school stystem makes it so that you lack the privy school connections at Stanfurd, Cal doesn't take care of you or your GPA, and it's easy to get lost in the crowd. Good things are Berkeley is a lively city and the students are motivated towards doing well in life. The education is the best, the professors are all world famous people, and you will be surrounded by competitive people who in turn make you more competitive towards life.

UC Berkeley is a famous school with many historical figures. Many of the things you will learn about in textbooks were discovered at Berkeley, making it a point of school pride. Many chemical compounds were made at Berkeley. Many inventions were created at Berkeley. Ishi the indian spent his last days at Berkeley. Many famous scientists were educated at Berkeley. The list goes on. Go Bears.
