The Savannah College of Art and Design

Some of the foundations are pointless for the major you're entering into, honestly getting past the foundations can sometimes be rough but once in your major's classes if it's something you're passionate about then they should be (and are for me) a lot of fun!

Anyone coming to this school needs to remember that this is not a town though it may feel like it. There is crime and you need to have street smarts to be here. Most people who get mugged got that way because they were walking alone in an alleyway at night- you just can't do that here! Other then at night I feel perfectly safe during the day in most places. At night (being a female as well) I always travel with a group of friends.

Transportation is HORRIBLE! They recommend that you don't bring a car. BRING ONE! Parking is horrible around the city but for most major buildings it is easy to find SCAD parking and is so much easier then taking the bus. Honestly taking the bus you have to leave 45 minutes before class while driving I can leave 10 minutes before class and still get there on time.

Other then those negatives I love it here, and I'm glad I chose to go here.
Lastly the food isn't that great. I would recommend getting a block plan instead of a weekly meal plan because if you're into eating healthy good meals scad food just won't cut it. You're going to want to be able to go grocery shopping to get even microwavable food which in most cases is still better then SCADCAFE! (Another reason to have your car, easy access to the beach, mall, walmart, target and other stores.)
