Positive Negative Neutral Advice
This school has a lot going for it.Business - Management and Administration
This school has a lot going for it. I'm in the Business school, and the advisors are very, very accessible and helpful (don't know about the advisors in other programs). Like any university, you learn to choose your profs wisely (www.ratemyprofessor.com helps!) There are some crummy ones, like any university, but mostly good ones that really know their stuff. This isn't one of those schools that you can slack and get good grades. The dorms are among the best I've seen in the state (with the exception of the high-rises). Not a party school, though, so if that's what you're looking for... look elsewhere. But, I've met some great friends and our dorm is a friendly community. They've got really good opportunities with Charlotte businesses for internships - The best small-town colleges seem to do for interships is place an IT major at the local hardware store for a semester (happened to a friend of mine in another school that shall remain nameless...). If you're looking for a "yeeeeeeeee-hawwwww" good time school, you could probably make a better choice. But, if you want a good education at a fine school, consider Charlotte.

Question
Well, come down to the bottom of it,Super BrilliantComputer Science
Well, come down to the bottom of it, I think personal efforts in learning is more critical than external helps. This is true with all universities. Best universities in Grad. Computer Science major have best/good students from UNCCharlotte as well. Many B.S students in Computer science from UNCCharlotte I know that went on to schools such as Berkeley, Stanford, and many others for Doctoral degrees. So, after all, it's just personal effort that counts. I had seen many many Computer Science undergrad students that are American, Indian (India), Vietnamese, African, that cheated their way thru. Many cheated on exams in Mr. Cloyd II Goodrum, Jenkins, Ms. Hinton, Dr. Jing Xiao (in Artificial Intelligence), Dr. Xintao Wu, Dr. Mostafavi, and Dr. Najarian. When it came to projects (hard/difficult), many many students cheated by pulling off from the web. If programs/projects were constantly non-repeating, I 100% believe that UNCCharlotte would be the best school in Computer Science.

Question
This place is horrible.Quite BrightOther
This place is horrible. I thought it was great at the open house, but it sucks. I transferred out after my first semester. I felt SO unsafe in the dorms. There were a lot of cases of men coming into the dorms and going after female students. I was scared to leave my dorm room at night just to go down the hall! UNCC is not what it is played up to be!
