Loved it since I came here. Not so brightAccounting
Loved it since I came here. Growing and developing campus with great modern facilities. Large on-campus population and and amazing Accounting and finance program. Loads of opportunities for internships and on-campus programs to help students and alumni start their own business. You also cannot beat the location. Cannot wait until winter break ends and I can return.

Question
I went here because it was the bestBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I went here because it was the best school that I was able to get into. I also made it into Radford and that would have been by far a much better choice. Despite what the school claims, GMU IS DEFINATELY a commuter school. There is only one big event the entire year, and that is Mason Day which has been going downhill fast in the last few years. The rest of the time there is never anything to do on campus. Off campus, well if you want to do anything but sit around at home, well you had better join a frat because otherwise there is almost no hope of finding a party or anything, unless you are into death metal then there is a club a couple miles away called jaxx. There are a few bars near campus, but this is Fairfax so unless you are of age there is no chance of getting in. GMU has its own police force, litterally. It has been said that they are state police in training because there is not one good man/woman on their force. they are all complete assholes looking for a power trip. Not only that but they do not even try to stop any real crime, just two days ago a woman was attacked at gunpoint by two men in the middle of campus at 10 at night. There is also a member of the blood's from maryland living in one of the freshmen dorms right now because his girlfriend goes here not him, and they have yet to do anything about that. Many of the Professors can barely speak english. Avoid this place unless you really have no other place to turn. Mason is only a little step up from NOVA.

Question
I found Mason to be a good choiceLinguistics
I found Mason to be a good choice for me. I came into college wanting a solid, well-rounded education, so I chose challenging courses--Russian history, Russian language and literature, upper-level writing courses, logic, and so on. If you look at college as more of a learning process rather than looking at the end result (I must get my diploma to get a good job), you'll find Mason to be on par with any good college/university. And one big plus about the Mason's campus is it's very diverse. So if you're noting you're a white, middle-class student, then a red flag needs to go up. Do not come to Mason if you do not like diversity and wish to hang around with nothing but white kids. You'll be poorer for it, however.
