Business Degree

There are several areas of study one can focus on when seeking their degree in business. You can specialize in a certain area of business such as accounting, finance, business management and administration, marketing, sales, international business, economics, and real estate.

Business Degree with emphasis on Accounting

A business degree in accounting will prepare you for a career in accounting within commercial and private industry, government, and public accounting.

Business Degree with emphasis on Business Administration

A business degree with an emphasis on administration will prepare you for a role in business leadership such as upper management at the public or private level and entrepreneurial ventures. With a degree in business administration you can also go on to graduate school and study for your MBA

Business Degree with emphasis on Economics

A business degree in economics will prepare you for a career in business management at the public and private level, will prepare you for your graduate studies in business if you do so choose to continue your studies as well as a business law.

Business Degree with emphasis on Finance

A business degree in finance will prepare you for a career as an investment banker, commercial banker, financial planner, or international finance.

Business Degree with emphasis on International Business

A business degree with an emphasis on international business will prepare you for your graduate studies in business if you so choose to continue your education. Some jobs you can expect to get with a degree in international business would be in public or private industry and the government.

Business Degree with emphasis on Marketing

A business degree with an emphasis in marketing will prepare you for a career in business advertising, product and brand management and market research. If you do so choose to you can continue on with your studies in business and look at obtaining your MBA.

You will learn the fundamentals of real estate business, land ownership, the appraisal process, buying and selling, and real estate law related to business. A degree in business with an emphasis on information systems will prepare you for a career in business that centralises around information systems. Integrating new systems into existing business models, migrating from old systems to new systems. You will most likely study some computer science topics which will give you a better understanding of how the information systems work, even allowing you to write / develop your own business information systems.
