Nursing School Prerequisites
Individuals wishing to pursue a career in nursing can expect to take classes in the following subject areas before obtaining their ASN,BSN,MSN or PHD in Nursing degree
- Anatomy
- Physiology
- Chemistry
- Microbiology
- Statistics or Biostatistics
- Abnormal Psychology
- Human Growth and Development
- Nutrition
- Psychology
- Speech and Communication
Depending on your career path you will spend anywhere from a minimum of two years up to eight years in school.
You must be healthy and not have a criminal record. Before entering a nursing program at any school you will be required to pass a criminal background check
