Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
I was too young to go away to college (just barely 17) and was not prepared socially for the college scene. It was also a hard adjustment going from being a top student in high school to attending a college where there were a lot of top students. I did not like my major in college and found that the psychology dept. was mostly interested in behavioral/research psychology. I did go on to get my doctoral degree in clinical psychology, 10 years after college. But I felt that I was starting from scratch at that point. Looking back, I wish that I had gone into either teaching or art history. But that's coming from a 50-year-old's point of view! I think I was too young to get the most out of college.
