College (and later professional education) expanded my understanding of "what was out there" academically, culturally, professionally, and socially. It made me more of a whole person than my background previously would have allowed. It helped me process information in ways that increased my understanding of many things. It caused me to quest constantly for more information and a wider range of experiences.
