Computer Science (College of Engineering) was a decentComputer Science
Computer Science (College of Engineering) was a decent degree, at least back when I went there in 1987-1990.

It's difficult to say which classes helped the most. You wind up using most things that you learn, in some fashion or other. Even when a class seems not directly related to your professional work.I'd recommend taking at least a few graduate-level courses in your major area, as technical electives, to get a different perspective. Also, take classes that interest you the most, even if they look difficult, and don't worry so much about grades. Grades seem important when you're in school, but 5 years after you graduate, they don't really matter.

Question
ASU is awesome! Its in a big cityAverageCommunications
ASU is awesome! Its in a big city with lots of places to go. Tempe/Scottsdale is full of upscale bars, trendy sushi restaurants, clubs, etc. Tempe is your average college town...most people that live there go to ASU. Scottsdale is more upscale, has a ton of resorts and classy places. Another surrounding area, Chandler, is also upscale and extremely nice. I cannot say enough about the asthetics both of the campus and the city. It is amazing...palm trees, mountains, and the sun shines just about every day. Plus you can't beat 75 degree weather in the middle of January! ASU students love to party...If you come here you better bring a good fake ID because the bars here are the center of the social scene. Greek life is great too...its an awesome way to get involved and meet people. Sororities and Fraternities here are very balanced and aren't very competetive with one another, so thats always a good thing. Another awesome things about ASU is the fact that its only about a 3 hour drive to Las Vegas, 4 hours to Los Angeles, 5 hours to San Diego, 2 hours to Tucson, and 3 hours to Mexico. Road trips to these places are very popular and soo much fun! There are also hundreds of clubs and organizations to get involved in and they always have tables set up outside the Memorial Union which holds a food court, Einsteins Bagels, Jamba Juice, gift shop, market, study rooms, pool tables, a bowling alley, and a Starbucks, all right in the middle of campus! What more could you want? Classes aren't terribly hard, and I've heard that Career Services is extremely helpful in helping you find a job when you graduate. One of the great things about being in a large Metropolitian area is that there are always recruiters from major companies on campus! It also makes it easier to network with people in different companies. When you graduate, who you know will be way more important than what you know or what you studied in college, so always remember that~and don't take college too seriously...live it up...these are the best years of your life!!!

Question
As an ASU undergrad alumni I don't thinkQuite Bright
As an ASU undergrad alumni I don't think we are treated very well. I'm currently a graduate student (at another school) and I sometimes like to use the Hayden library for studying and recources. Well, what I've come to realize is that you can only really use anything if you are a CURRENT student - no exceptions (they can also kick you out of the library after hours). This compounded with the the rude, shallow, and immature students on campus makes me remember all the difficult times I've had with ASU. From the horrible parking situation, to being run through and ignored by my advisor (reccomending classes I didn't need) like I was on a conveyor belt. ASU really needs to up its game in academics. Get it together already... your making your allumni look bad... ugh.
