The criminal Justice Curriculum was excellent.BrightCriminal
The criminal Justice Curriculum was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my classes. The professors I had for my major all had life experience in the field they were teaching. They were extremely helpful. Unfortunately one problem with the course remains - it is UNACCREDITED. As far as the rest of the campus life goes, there is a self promoted "happy-face" on campus. However, this is not always the case. As an example, There are particular times such as "College Days" when there are numerous groups of High School students visiting the college. Before college days begins, the student body is told to put on a happy face, and go out of their way to help any of the visitors. Thats not the way the campus is during the rest of the year !

Question
This college will either break you or makeReligion/Religious
This college will either break you or make you a better person. It will definately teach you to put up with nonsense. There are some top-rate people there, and I do believe the Administration are genuinely good people. However, keep in mind that everyone has their faults, and theirs tend to be that they are the very epitome of authoritarianism. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. Do not go here thinking of this as a church, it does not work that way. They do not forgive. But they will instill character in you and teach you right from wrong, and that life is not fair.

Remember, the founders started out as elementary school teachers and much of that philosphy has filtered into their college. They are very good at rote memory, very bad at teaching you to think for yourself. Despite the seemingly bad comments, I am very glad I went there. I needed it. But it is definately not for everyone. Just be prepared to suck it up and be humble and worry about YOUR behavior, and not others. And remember, if you were in their position, maybe you wouldn't do any better, either.

Question
The biggest problem with being an Accounting majorAccounting
The biggest problem with being an Accounting major at PCC is the lack of accreditation. If your goal is to become a CPA do not go to PCC. There are people that do sit for the CPA exam, but the hassle that you put up with is not worth it. In many states, you can’t take the CPA exam unless your degree is accredited. Also, with 150-hour rule, most students need to go on to graduate school before they take the CPA exam. Although you can get into many graduate schools with a PCC degree, not all of them will accept your degree and it could take a lot of time convincing the grad school that your degree has prepared you.

As for the actual quality of the Accounting department, they are top-notch people that are willing to help and have years of experience. The classes will prepare you for the CPA exam as well as classes can, but experience is what helps, especially in auditing. The best thing you can do for your career is to get an internship with an accounting firm to gain some experience. Experience will outweigh your degree in 2 years, so if you already have a year worth of experience, it will help you immensely.
