SCAD is a diverse credited university that opens itself to student guidance and direction. You are in control of where you want to go, how far you want to take yourself and how successful you want to be coming out of it. Do not expect to come into SCAD with a cookie cutter expectation that everything will be in step throughout the course of your study. You will be dissapointed otherwise. Listen, learn and respond with input. That will create value to yourself and the institution as a whole.

I am EXTREMELY surprised by many of theAverageDesign Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
I am EXTREMELY surprised by many of the various comments and ratings SCAD has recieved. I suppose i might be more greatful than ssome to find this gem of a school down here in the south after transfering from an average state school in MA. I am a fashion design student here and i mus say it is an excellent program, very challenging but at the same time you have these excellent and highly regarded professors to teach you absolutely everything. I have even read articles ranking us above FIT in NY. I think this is true for most majors here, the film majors for one, there professors are budding with real knoledge and are exceptional film industry vets. As for crime, yes there is crime but not as bad as one might think reading these reviews, be smart dont go joy riding in the projects or slum districts at night and your fine. I live in an apartment downtown and have to say its just a gorgeous southern city with some unfortunetly dangerous areas that yes you must take seriously. Lastly i must say the college landscape grades for scad were appauling, i'll say it again it is gorgeous here! Campus up keep? the school has renovated COUNTLESS historic buildings and transformed them into the most artfully refurbished buildings i have ever seen. Check the SCAD web site out kids, i promise you you'll love it here like i do!!!
