Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I am a upcoming sophmore at uncc andBright
I am a upcoming sophmore at uncc and am happy with my decision. Not sure what all the negative comments are about, as long as you get involved in clubs and Are open to meeting people, you should not have a problem. The school spirit will definetly get a lot better with the football team and the newly installed lights for night games.

Question
This school is over-hyped as the "Biggest bangQuite Bright
This school is over-hyped as the "Biggest bang for your buck" when (at best) it is a mediocre school. Sure, a beautiful campus, but the curriculum for engineering students s*cks. I double majored in engineering and English, and I found that BOTH departments stink.

I'm an out-of state student. There is NOTHING to do on campus on weekends or after class. You will need an automobile to escape the boredom of campus life. If you walk to the store, you risk the possibility of being mugged and/or shot. Rapes in the women's dormitories are common. Assaults and robberies on-campus are common. Automobile break-ins on campus are so common that the campus police no longer report them. If you want a report of campus crimes, you can't go online to get this info. You must request it from campus police. How stupid is that? This school is relatively cheap. Remember: you get what you pay for. Pass on this dung pile. I will be outta here in September.

Question
People complain about the school spirit which INot so bright
People complain about the school spirit which I agree isn't like most but since the football team has came I have felt a big spike in school spirit. All that needs to happen is for students to stop commuting, greek life to open their doors party wise. As well as some more student leadership on campus. The bigger stadium and new dining hall/student center should help too.
